I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the Institute of Law, Politics, and Development at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy.
My research lies at the intersection of comparative politics and social policy. I analyse factors that shape welfare policies and public attitudes on welfare state. Within welfare state field, I work mainly on health policy and politics. I’m currently a co-director of the ECPR Research Network on Health Policy, Politics and Governance.
I am also the author of Health Reforms in Post-Communist Eastern Europe: The Politics of Policy Learning (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023) and a co-editor (with E. M. Immergut, K. M. Anderson and C. Devitt) of Health Politics in Europe: A Handbook (Oxford University Press, 2021).
My work has also appeared in international academic journals including Journal of European Public Policy, Journal of Social Policy, Health Policy, Government & Opposition, Journal of European Social Policy and Journal of Health Policy Politics and Law. I’ve earned my PhD in Social and Political Science at the European University Institute, MA in Social Science at the Humboldt University Berlin and BA in Philosophy at the University of Belgrade.
