Welcome to my webpage!

I am an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Law, Politics, and Development at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy.

My research lies at the intersection of comparative politics and social policy. I am most keen on analysing factors that shape welfare policies and public attitudes on welfare state. Within welfare state field, I work mainly on health policy and politics. I’m currently a co-director of the ECPR Research Network on Health Policy, Politics and Governance.

I am also the author of Health Reforms in Post-Communist Eastern Europe: The Politics of Policy Learning (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023) and a co-editor (with E. M. Immergut, K. M. Anderson and C. Devitt) of Health Politics in Europe: A Handbook (Oxford University Press, 2021).

My work has also appeared in international academic journals including Journal of European Public Policy, Journal of Social Policy, Health Policy, Government & Opposition, Journal of European Social Policy and Journal of Health Policy Politics and Law. I’ve earned my PhD (in Social and Political Science) at the European University Institute, MA (in Social Science) at the Humboldt University Berlin and BA (in Philosophy) at the University of Belgrade.
